GEORGE W. DRUMMOND MEMORIAL NIGHT POSTS EXTRA CASH FOR DRIVERS: JUNE 20/09
It is with great pleasure that we announce that once again the Drummond Family have added to the pot for the George W. Drummond Memorial Night at Capital City Speedway. In a way of saying a special thank you too the racers in their 90th year of being in business ( 3 family generations) Over $500. extra dollars will be added to Thunder Cars, Legends, Mini Stock and Four for Fun that night, making this the richest regular night payout for these drivers this season. The Drummonds who are the owners of the Speedway, and are the people who stepped forward 5 years ago and basically saved the track from going into the history books, have continued to do as much as possible too help in other ways since that time. They continue to support the Thunder Cars Series owning the title rights to this class, which they did from the time the Malcolm Family took over the day to day operations of the speedway, and continue to do so too this day. For the the Drivers in these class's the heat race winners will now receive the following: Thunder Cars $50. for each heat winner, Legends $40. for each heat win, Mini Stock $35. for each heat win and also the four for fun who have not been forgotten about and will also receive $25. for each heat win. On top of that each feature winner will also receive an extra $50. on top of the regular payout thanks to the Drummonds. This should and will make for one very special night as we present the George W. Drummond Memorial Night for the 4th year in a row. We would also like to inform the Thunder Cars right now that August the 8th will see you guys running for extra cash, extra feature laps (50) as well as qualifying heat races for feature line up's. we will have more on this in the next week or so, but it will be one of your richest races of the season.
JUST SOME REMINDER'S FOR ALL: JUNE 20/09
First of all don't forget everyone we switch back to Wednesday Nights next week (June 24th) with a special feature attraction at the Speedway, "The Night of Destruction", plus the LATE MODELS RETURN> We then come right back the following Wednesday with Live Band starting at 2:00 pm and playing all afternoon in the Beer Gardens, with the full racing program starting at the regular time. The Late Models return for the first time since the ACT Event so that should be a great addition to the program as we all get to congratulate Sean Kennedy for his big victory. Would also like to remind everyone about the awards banquet and the fact that we are moving to a new location for the Nov. 21st. affair. We also want to have a car or two for this years banquet, must be in perfect shape in order to be put on display in doors.
Y101 NIGHT, PRESENTED BY LOCAL HEROE'S, A COUNTRY MILE WIDE LOAD OF FUN: JUNE 20/09
Well the last Friday Night of the 2009 campaign came to and end and the good thing about it, is we can say we have not had one rain out this season YET. Next week we go back to Wednesday Nights and hopes are high for bigger crowds to start making their way to the speedway when we do. This past weeks winners where as follows Four for Fun saw a new feature winner again this week with Quincy Roberts scoring a popular win, after avoiding a huge front stretch crash which took out a number of the top runners. Heat races wins went to Quincy and Shawn Ethier. Mini Stock was a feature win for Jeff Smith who also captured a heat race win along with Chris Lynch. Thunder cars feature went to Gregg Ogilvie after  a hard fought battle with Ken Fisher, here two Gregg took one of the heat race wins along with Ken Sproule. The Lentech Legend Class was won by Kevin Foisy, who added to his points lead with Kevin winning one of the heats as well as Chad Windsor who returned with his back up car after a wicked crash of his main car last weekend at the ACT Series event. Again we remind everyone we switch back to Wednesday Nights next week with the Lentech Auto Performance Night of Destruction.

LOCAL DRIVER SEAN KENNEDY WINS THE BIG ONE: JUNE15/09
Ottawa, ON – Sean Kennedy of Dunrobin, ON won the Toromont CAT 100 at his home track, Capital City Speedway. Kennedy took the lead from another local Matt Moffiitt on lap 25 and never looked back. The Capital City Speedway regulars used their experience on the third-mile oval to their advantage and two of them finished in the top five.  2008 ACT Tour Champion Patrick Laperle won a late battle with Jonathan Urlin to capture the second place position. Urlin came home third, followed by Matt Moffitt, and Yvon Bedard rounded out the top five. Last week’s winner, Donald Theetge finished sixth, chased to the line by Daniel Descoste, Pier-Luc Ouellette, Brandon Watson, and Ken Baird finished in the top ten.  Unofficially, nine cars finished on the lead lap of the 100 lap event that was slowed by seven cautions. The last caution came on lap 44 as the final 56 laps were run without a yellow.  Kennedy becomes the ninth driver to qualify for the ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway as there have been no repeat winners in the combined nine events on the Series ACT Castrol and the ACT Tour. Kennedy becomes the only qualifier so far from the Province of Ontario. He joins drivers from Vermont, New Hampshire and Quebec. The Series ACT Castrol will be at Riverside Speedway in St-Croix, QC next Saturday, June 20. The ACT Tour will also be running next Saturday as they were rained out at Waterford Speedbowl this weekend and will be completing the final 72 laps of the event.

THE BIGGEST RACE OF THE SEASON FOR CCS, JUNE 13TH ACT TOUR TOUCHES DOWN: JUNE 8/09
The biggest race of the season rolls into CCS this weekend and its time to hit one out of the park as one racer said to me this week and I couldn't agree with him more. The  ACT Late Model Tour has always been a big deal, and always been a big deal at CCS even back in the days when it was called the Coors Tour. This weekend also has a great deal of significance for our local drivers in this class as they get a chance to show just how good they are up against some of the best late model drivers out there. Justin Holtom, one of our regular points racers has been doing well at the three events he has attended on the out of town tour dates, coming in 13th just this past weekend. So hopefully the stands will be packed with local supporters of our Late Model Drivers as they try not only to put on a good show, but win the race and earn a spot on the trip to Lowden New Hampshire as part of the Nascar weekend in Sept. All of the other class's will be in action this Saturday as well and look for a number of out of town drivers in both Thunder Cars and Legends. It should be a BIG SHOW for sure.

KENYON RACING PRODUCTS NIGHT A HUGE SUCCESS: JUNE 6/09
With the nicest weather of the summer, and the second biggest crowd of the year on hand it was a great night at the speedway for Kenyon Racing Products night. The Go-Karts racing for the first time was well exceptedd by everyone as the 12 or more that where on hand showed everyone some of the nicest bit of racing we have seen. Bump drafting down the straight stretches, 3 wide on the corners and a photo finish with lead changing twice on the last two corners had all the fans on hand saying JOB WELL DONE GUYS. The top three spots for the Kart guys went to James Quinn, Ron Honrie and Shane Findley, Findley is the son of former late model driver Tom Findley so for me personally was extra special. The Karts are back on July 8 and word has it that many more will take part in the next go round for these guys. In the Regular racing Ken Baird showed he is ready to go for the big ACT race next Saturday (June 13) as he out ran the Farmer, Steve Munro for the Dash for Cash Late Model shootout. In the Thunder Class Ken Sproule showed he will make a move for the championship this season with back to back wins, Sproule's evening was made a little easier when front runner Greg Ogilvie dropped a valve in his motor and had to retire to the pits for the night, Sproule and Ogilvie also managed too take home the wins in the heat races. With out question one of the most popular wins of the night went to young Brandon Shipman who took home his first ever feature win in the Lentech Legend Class, this win was exceptionally special as Brandon's Grandma, who was celebrating her birthday at the speedway where her and Brandon's Mom are every race night. Yes, some times things just work out very, very specially and with out question this was a very special win, Watching Brandon's Family cheer him on (including Grandma) from our vantage point in the tower made feel as good as we ever had at the speedway, after all this is what its all about. Another first time winner was Pierre Ladouceur who took home the win in Mini Stock giving us 5 different winners in this class this year which is incredible in its own way, Pierre and Doug Mould where the winners of the heat races as well. Four for Fun was the the dominance of Brian Sehl once again, even with the added 100 pound weight that he was accessed from the previous week, Brian was able to charge home for the victory. There has been a lot of talk about Brains fast car, Let us say this very publicly his car is Totally Legal, he is just someone who has done his homework very well and it shows. But as we said right from the beginning of our running the race track we would do everything possible with in the rules to make all cars as equal as they can be, however the one thing we can not control is the level of driving that takes place, and Brain has shown that he is very good at that.
JUNE 12-13-14 WEEKEND A HUGE WEEKEND FOR ADM MOTORSPORTS: JUNE 6/09
Well now they say that first are always good, and in our case we hope that is the truth as next weekend will mark the first time we have ever had THREE different events going on, on the same weekend. The Benson Tour will be in Grand Bend where it is expected that 500 race cars are going to show up, The American Canadian Tour event stops at our stock car track Capital City Speedway, and of course Luskville Dragway will be open for time trials and cruise nights. Yes to say that we will be praying for good weather would be a HUGE understatement, but things will shake out the way they will with the weather which we have no control over. We are also very fortunate to have our genetic family members as well as our race track family members for with out this we could not have even imagined such a task. Grand Bend will be a three day deal with Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Capital City Speedway will be a one day-night affair on Saturday June 13th and Luskville Dragway will see time trials on Saturday, Cruise Night Saturday Night and Time Trials again on Sunday. So things might be a little slow getting up dated on the web sites, we have left town but not the country so check back often.  From all of us at ADM Motorsports we want to thank everyone in advance for putting in that extra to make this happen lets just hope the weather man does his part also. See you at the Races>

GO-CARTS RUN FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR, THIS FRIDAY NIGHT: JUNE 01/09
This Friday Night will once again see something new and exciting at the speedway as the a large contingent of Go-Carts will race on the speedway for the first time ever. These cars are very fast and should be very entertaining for those that join in this race night which is also Fan Appreciation Night at the track as well as a Late Model Dash for Cash. Long range forecast is for good weather so lets hope they are right and we can get things headed in the right direction. As the season has gotten off but not to the big start we had been hoping for, as weather, economy and other things have played a part in the turnouts, but that will hopefully turn around this week.
