Randy's Performance and Cumberland Auto Parts for 2002

With the season barely a month old news is already coming out for the new season in 2002. Randy’s Performance and Cumberland Auto Parts have both renewed for 2002 marking a continued support of Luskville Dragway for the past many years.
Cumberland Auto Parts spokesperson Mike Doyle confirmed that not only would Cumberland be back as a backer of their weekend, but would also take the title rights to a Jr. Dragster Points championship series that will see the Jrs. Compete for a season ending Championship. This is good news for the Jrs. As they have been without a point’s series for the past couple of years do to the small number of cars in this area. The series will only be run on the big weekends and will include the Show Me the Money Tour events. Mike Doyle will also return for another year of competition behind the wheel of the Snap On Tools Dragster in 2002, and look for some few very noticeable changes in the car.
Randy Urslak who we earlier reported had sold his trusty Nova, is still without a ride as of this write up, everyone involved with drag racing in this area certainly hopes and expects however to see Randy back in 2002, look for maybe something with an open cockpit style in mind. Randy’s Performance Automotive will at this time however, confirm that they will be back as the title rights holder of the Bill Gaw Memorial Weekend in July for the third straight year. This event is too celebrate one of Luskville Dragway’s very biggest supporters in years past, and a gentleman who Randy began his Automotive career with, the late Bill Gaw, of Bills Competition Engines. Bill was always one of the first people to renew his advertising agreements and support for Luskville Dragway during all the years of his operations, and Randy has kept that trend alive by being the first to renew his advertising with the track every year since Bills passing.
This along with the three-year extension of the advertising agreement with SpeedStyle, for the right side scoreboard at the track, has set the standards very high in the early goings, for another big year of advertising support for Luskville Dragway.
