PIT BITS JUNE 9/25 *It took us about 2 months but we finally got some weather to do some racing, and of course each new season brings some new cars. One of the newest was Randy and Brody Bellefeuille new rear engine dragster which was a eye catcher and a strong runner. Randy informed us that there would be some new colors on the car in the not to distant future. Randy showed that the car was a strong runner as well as he went a few rounds in eliminations on the first weekend out. *Big shout out to John Golka ONCE AGAIN as he took care of the Acker Bros Quick Draw award which saw Hayley Anger take the first of the season. Johnny is one of the most giving guys we know and it shows every time he is at the track and that was the case this weekend as well. We are looking of assistance in this program as we do everything we can to keep Brian's Dream alive, he was a strong supporter of the Jrs and we want very much to keep that dream alive. Look for another announcement concerning Johnny and the Jrs. *Saturday Regular racing in super pro and semi pro was a very well attended and the racing was pretty good, even though it was hampered by two very bad oil downs. Mike Chenier had the transmission go south and drop some fluid on the track, and Lewis Gagne lost a brand new engine when the rods decided to exist the side of the block. Semi Pro would see the Bill Harley team from Sudbury take the first big semi pro win of the summer over Russ Fraser. Super Pro would see Fred Anger take the win over Terry Miron. Jr. Dragsters saw last years Track Champion Julia Malcolm take the first big win of the season. *Sunday saw a few new cars come in the gate and racing got underway right on time with Semi Pro being the first down the track. NO oil downs today so things got all wrapped up and in the bag by 3.30 with Logan Angers winning JR Dragster, Uncle Fred winning in Super pro over Brandon Barker who had the better light but gave it back at the stripe. Semi Pro saw Miles Smith having to settle for second place as Steve Douquette took the win light and the prize money in Semi Pro . *Semi Pro also got some extra good news when it was announced that Tina Clarmo would throw her support behind this class with a bonus series points fund payout for this class. An extra 1500. will be up for grabs for the top 4 points earners in 5 regular race weekends during the summer of 2025.  The race will include 5 weekends of racing starting with this weekend, next weekend, Dave Rennie Auto Care Weekend, Honeywell works weekend,  And the Lewis Gagne Racers Appreciation Weekend. MORCEAUX DE FOSSE JUNE 9/2025 *Il nous a fallu environ deux mois, mais nous avons enfin pu profiter d'un peu de temps pour faire quelques courses. Et bien sûr, chaque nouvelle saison apporte son lot de nouvelles voitures. L'une des nouveautés était le nouveau dragster à moteur arrière de Randy et Brody Bellefeuille, qui attirait tous les regards et offrait une excellente tenue de route. Randy nous a informés que de nouvelles couleurs seraient bientôt disponibles sur la voiture. Randy a démontré que la voiture était performante, notamment en participant à quelques manches éliminatoires dès le premier week-end. *Un grand merci à John Golka, une fois de plus, pour son succès lors du prix Acker Bros Quick Draw, qui a permis à Hayley Anger de remporter le premier prix de la saison. Johnny est l'un des gars les plus généreux que nous connaissions, et cela se voit à chaque fois qu'il est sur la piste, et ce fut encore le cas ce week-end. Nous recherchons de l'aide pour ce programme, car nous mettons tout en œuvre pour que le rêve de Brian perdure. Il était un fervent supporter des Juniors et nous tenons absolument à ce qu'il continue à vivre. Restez à l'écoute pour une nouvelle annonce concernant Johnny et les Juniors. *Dimanche, quelques nouvelles voitures ont franchi la grille et les courses ont débuté à l'heure, la catégorie Semi-Pro étant la première à s'élancer. Pas de panne d'huile aujourd'hui, donc tout était bouclé à 15h30 : Logan Angers a remporté la victoire en JR Dragster, Uncle Fred a gagné en Super Pro face à Brandon Barker, qui avait le meilleur éclairage mais l'a rendu à la ligne d'arrivée. En Semi-Pro, Miles Smith a dû se contenter de la deuxième place, tandis que Steve Douquette a remporté l'éclairage de la victoire et la prime en Semi-Pro. *Semi Pro a également reçu une excellente nouvelle : Tina Clarmo a annoncé son soutien à cette catégorie en versant des points bonus. 1 500 points supplémentaires seront mis en jeu pour les 4 meilleurs points lors des 5 week-ends de course réguliers de l'été 2025. La course comprendra 5 week-ends de course, à commencer par ce week-end, le week-end suivant, le week-end Dave Rennie Auto Care, le week-end Honeywell Works et le week-end Lewis Gagne Racers Appreciation. Nous publierons les points accumulés au fil de la saison dans un format séparé. Un grand merci à Tina Clarmo pour son incroyable soutien.
CSN HUNT CLUB JOINS LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY FOR 2ND YEAR IN A ROW. JUNE 9/25 We have been very fortunate over the years to sign some new blood each and every year. But as the times change it is harder to do just that so when you do get a new marketing partner you feel pretty good about it. And a lot of times they come with the blessing of a racer at the track that has a connection. In the case of CSN Collision Howard Foley was the connection, and what started out as Howard inviting some quests from the shop to come out and watch some drag races turned into a signage advertiser with us for the third year in a row. We would also like to thank Scott Dance the owner for making this happen, see you at the races. LE CLUB DE CHASSE CSN SE JOINT À LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY POUR LA DEUXIÈME ANNÉE CONSÉCUTIVE. JUNE 9/25 Au fil des ans, nous avons eu la chance de recruter de nouveaux partenaires chaque année. Mais avec le temps, cela devient plus difficile, alors lorsqu'on trouve un nouveau partenaire marketing, on est plutôt satisfait. Et souvent, ils arrivent avec la bénédiction d'un pilote sur la piste qui a un lien. Dans le cas de CSN Collision, Howard Foley était le lien, et ce qui a commencé par une invitation de l'atelier à venir assister à des courses d'accélération s'est transformé en annonceur pour la troisième année consécutive. Nous tenons également à remercier Scott Dance, le propriétaire, pour avoir rendu cela possible. À bientôt aux courses ! PIT BITS JUNE 2/25 *Well the weather man continues to be a pain in the ass to say the least, as once again what was predicted earlier in the week to me a nice weekend turned into anything but nice. Cloudy skies, showers and high winds made for a rough Saturday which only saw a few cars make their way down the track. Sunday was not much better as once again the prediction of a nice day was anything but. However the Wayne Young Memorial brought over 60 cars out to play in the cold and cloudy weather with everyone having a great time. and someone who had a really great time was John Crawford of Richmond Ontario who set the record for the fastest street car at the track and the record for the fastest Buick street car ever. John took his turbo to a 9:30 spectacular time that had all talking, Congrats John hope to see  you back when the weather is better. *We are extremely pleased to announce that Jordan Parniak will return the the drag racing wars with his popular WILD CHILD Funny Car at the 2nd Annual Gold Rush Nationals in Chapleau, Ontario August 15-16-17. Jordan was a regular in the Elliot Lake days and would visit Luskville Dragway on many occasions as well. The "Wild Child" would put on some wild shows when ever it ran and we are looking forward to that continuing, starting this summer. Jordan like many stopped drag racing when covid hit and most of the Northern Ontario Airport races stopped happening, but this all going to change come August 15-16-17.
MORCEAUX DE FOSSE JUNE 2/2025 *Eh bien, le météorologue continue d'être un vrai casse-tête, c'est le moins que l'on puisse dire. Une fois de plus, ce qui m'avait été annoncé plus tôt dans la semaine comme un beau week-end s'est avéré tout sauf agréable. Ciel nuageux, averses et vents violents ont rendu le samedi difficile, ne permettant qu'à quelques voitures de prendre la piste. Dimanche n'a guère été mieux, car une fois de plus, la prévision d'une belle journée s'est avérée tout sauf agréable. Cependant, le Wayne Young Memorial a permis à plus de 60 voitures de s'amuser dans le froid et le ciel nuageux, et tout le monde s'est bien amusé. John Crawford, de Richmond, en Ontario, s'est particulièrement amusé en établissant le record de la voiture de rue la plus rapide sur le circuit et le record de la Buick la plus rapide de tous les temps. John a réalisé un temps spectaculaire de 9 h 30 avec sa voiture turbo, qui a fait beaucoup parler. Félicitations, John, j'espère te revoir quand la météo sera meilleure. *Nous sommes ravis d'annoncer que Jordan Parniak sera de retour sur les circuits de dragsters avec son populaire WILD CHILD Funny Car lors de la deuxième édition annuelle du Gold Rush Nationals à Chapleau, en Ontario, les 15, 16 et 17 août. Jordan était un habitué de l'époque d'Elliot Lake et se rendait également à plusieurs reprises sur le Luskville Dragway. Le « Wild Child » offrait des spectacles endiablés lors de ses courses, et nous avons hâte que cela continue dès cet été. Jordan, comme beaucoup, a arrêté les courses de dragsters lorsque la COVID-19 a frappé et que la plupart des courses des aéroports du Nord de l'Ontario ont cessé d'avoir lieu, mais tout cela va changer les 15, 16 et 17 août.
