The Northern Drag Racing Outlaws is owned by Peter Laliberte who is a drag racer and who promotes Luskville Dragway and the Northern drag racing circuit like no one else. After making Luskville Dragway his home track last year, taking a personal parking spot for the first time, and have a blast, Peter and crew decided they wanted to do even more and have purchased a Signage spot at Luskville Dragway for 2026. Pete and a number of other Northern racers have already secured personal parking spots for the upcoming season, showing once again the benefit of the airport venues that we have done since 1995. When Al Nadeau decided to update the front end on his Super Pro Monza he decided on BW Race Cars and Brian White. This is a decision that many have made over the last decade as Brian has garnered a great reputation locally. The Monza which has had some suspension work done by Brian was fitted with a brand new Strut Front Suspension that will with out doubt make this ride even a bigger contender. White who is know for his attention to every single detail is one of the reasons that his shop is a hotbed of drag racing work over the off season. BW RACE CARS IS WELDED TO LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY WITH SUPPORT IN 2026: JAN 26/26 Brian White Race Cars signed on with Luskville Dragway in 2014 and we are pleased and proud that he will continue that support into the 2026 season and for many years to come we hope. This NHRA Best Engineered Award winning chassis builder is only moments away from Ottawa, and works out of a brand new shop to serve all your needs. A race car driver at heart gives Brian the knowledge that only comes from actually driving a fast drag car, and Brian has driven them all, from quick door slammers in the early years to rear engine dragsters these days. Whenb the new wave of wants for the dragster guys being a front suspension Brian was the first around to begin the transition for many locals and with great results.  One only has to look at people like Derek Malcolm (Super Pro Track Champion) Kyle Jessup (Super Pro Napa Tour Champ) Landyn Urslak (2023 Super Pro Track Champ) and others, Mike Chenier, Troy Davis, Mike Ogilvie and more to see this. These days Brian has designed his very own front suspension set up which he uses on his own car and will soon be seen on many others. The shop located in eastern Ontario is currently doing front suspension on Pam Rennie's dragster and right after that Lewis Gagne's rear engine dragster. The 55 Chevy that was built for drag racer Simon Tessier of Montreal has had everyone talking for a while now, and débuted excitement is large. Brian who is a drag racer at heart brings too the table much what builders like Richard Jones and F.J Smith do, "They are drag racers" which makes all the difference in the world. Brian does not just curtail his work to drag cars as many street rodder's and pro street drivers have visited the Shop to have work done. White has also made a name for himself for setting up cars , just ask ADM Motorsports, Brock Godmaire, and Bill Harling just to mention a few. One of the great things about this shop is the owner is not afraid to come to the track and work with the client in getting everything right on the car, something that goes along way in making this shop unique. BW RACE CARS RECONDITIONNE SON PARTENARIAT AVEC LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY ET SON SOUTIEN EN 2026 : 26 JANVIER 2026 Brian White Race Cars a signé un partenariat avec Luskville Dragway en 2014 et nous sommes ravis et fiers qu'il poursuive ce soutien pour la saison 2026 et, nous l'espérons, pour de nombreuses années à venir. Ce constructeur de châssis, lauréat du prix NHRA du meilleur ingénieur, est situé à quelques minutes d'Ottawa et travaille dans un tout nouvel atelier pour répondre à tous vos besoins. Pilote de course dans l'âme, Brian possède une connaissance approfondie du métier, acquise uniquement au volant d'un dragster. Il a piloté tous les types de dragsters, des petites voitures rapides des premières années aux dragsters à moteur arrière d'aujourd'hui. Lorsque la suspension avant est devenue la nouvelle tendance chez les pilotes de dragsters, Brian a été le premier à amorcer cette transition pour de nombreux pilotes locaux, avec d'excellents résultats. Il suffit de regarder des pilotes comme Derek Malcolm (champion de Super Pro Track), Kyle Jessup (champion du Super Pro Napa Tour), Landyn Urslak (champion de Super Pro Track 2023), Mike Chenier, Troy Davis, Mike Ogilvie et bien d'autres pour s'en convaincre. Brian a récemment conçu son propre système de suspension avant, qu'il utilise sur sa voiture et qui équipera bientôt de nombreux autres véhicules. Son atelier, situé dans l'est de l'Ontario, travaille actuellement sur la suspension avant du dragster de Pam Rennie, et s'apprête à faire de même sur celui à moteur arrière de Lewis Gagne. La Chevrolet 55 construite pour le pilote de dragster montréalais Simon Tessier fait sensation depuis un certain temps, et l'enthousiasme est palpable depuis sa sortie. Brian, passionné de dragster, apporte à son atelier une expertise comparable à celle de préparateurs comme Richard Jones et F.J. Smith : « Ce sont des pilotes de dragster », ce qui fait toute la différence. Brian ne se limite pas aux dragsters ; de nombreux amateurs de hot rods et de voitures de course professionnelles ont également fait appel à ses services. PIT BITS JAN 19/26 *Some changes taking place around our race track during the off season and this one will be a welcome to many as I don't know how many times people have asked can we get gas near the Track. Looks like Jeff at the Beer King has answered that question with the announcement this week that he is ready to open this brand new gas bar. The 148 Hwyway has also greatly change around this area as it is much easier to now get in and out of this location. So welcome addition to the area and for the people who come to Luskville Dragway. *Well we tend to think that its only race cars that get updated and refreshed in the off season, but quite often trailers and tow vehicles get in the mix as well. And that is the case with at least one of the Northern Racers who calls Luskville Dragway home. Luc and Brock Godmaire have moved up to a newer and much bigger motorhome to take on the season of 2026. The Country Coach Tag Axle will be hauling the Stacker Trailer around and taking care of getting the Corvette super pro car to the races. Congrats guys will make the trek from Kirkland Lake a little nicer. *Got to admit its been a while since i have been to any type of snowmobile race, I grew up in the country so snowmobiling was part of growing up, and racing at local winter carnivals was part of that growing up. My brother owned an Allouette dealership so we would always go to Peterborough for the Kawartha Cup, even got to meet Gilles Villeneuve back then, yeah I know giving away my age, LOL. But since becoming a drag racing junkie i had never been to any form of sled racing in a while. So heading out to the Cantley snow drags was a first for this type, and i have to tell you i was very, very impressed. Of course the engines today are much different than back in my days as Turbos and Nitrous and anything else is the norm on the faster machines. The Place was packed and with a line up coming in the gates, congrats to the organizers, by the way Mike Chenier was race director and Derek Malcolm was Timing system director so a very Luskville Dragway presence. So other than the cold which i hate, had a good time and will go back, one coming up in February we will keep you updated
MORCEAUX DE FOSSE JAN 19/26 *Des changements sont en cours aux abords de notre circuit pendant l'intersaison, et celui-ci sera certainement bien accueilli. En effet, on nous a souvent demandé s'il était possible de trouver une station-service à proximité. Jeff, du Beer King, a apparemment répondu à cette question en annonçant cette semaine l'ouverture prochaine de sa toute nouvelle station-service. L'autoroute 148 a également été considérablement améliorée dans ce secteur, facilitant grandement l'accès. C'est donc une excellente nouvelle pour la région et pour tous ceux qui viennent au Luskville Dragway. *On a souvent tendance à penser que seules les voitures de course sont remises à neuf pendant l'intersaison, mais bien souvent, les remorques et les véhicules tracteurs en font aussi l'objet. C'est le cas d'au moins un des pilotes du Nord, Luc et Brock Godmaire, qui ont élu domicile au Luskville Dragway. Ils sont passés à un camping-car plus récent et beaucoup plus grand pour la saison 2026. Le Country Coach Tag Axle transportera la remorque Stacker et acheminera la Corvette Super Pro sur les circuits. Félicitations à eux ! Le trajet depuis Kirkland Lake sera bien plus agréable. *Je dois avouer que ça fait un bail que je n'ai pas assisté à une course de motoneige. J'ai grandi à la campagne, alors la motoneige faisait partie de mon enfance, et les courses lors des carnavals d'hiver locaux aussi. Mon frère possédait une concession Alouette, alors on allait toujours à Peterborough pour la Coupe Kawartha. J'ai même eu la chance de rencontrer Gilles Villeneuve à l'époque ! Oui, je sais, ça me rajeunit pas ! Haha ! Mais depuis que je suis devenu accro aux courses d'accélération, ça faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas vu de course de motoneige. Du coup, aller aux courses d'accélération sur neige de Cantley était une grande première pour moi, et je dois dire que j'ai été très impressionné. Bien sûr, les moteurs d'aujourd'hui sont bien différents de ceux de mon époque : turbos, nitro et autres améliorations sont la norme sur les machines les plus rapides. Le circuit était plein à craquer, avec une file d'attente qui s'étendait jusqu'aux portes. Bravo aux organisateurs ! Au fait, Mike Chenier était directeur de course et Derek Malcolm, directeur du chronométrage : une présence typique du Luskville Dragway. À part le froid que je déteste, j'ai passé un bon moment et j'y retournerai. Une autre réservation est prévue en février. Nous vous tiendrons au courant.
SPEEDY AUTO SERVICE JR. DRAGSTER CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2026 AND MUCH MORE: JAN 19/26 Mike Chenier the owner of Speedy Auto Service has established himself as one of the top Super Pro Racers at Luskville Dragway and the number of tours he competes in. And Mike has also been a mover and a shaker on many other aspects of what goes on at Luskville Dragway and that continues this season. Since coming on the scene, The Chenier race team and family have become a Huge part of the every weekend racing event at Luskville Dragway, as this is a team that more often than not has a large cheering section at the track.  Luskville Dragway is very fortunate to have Mike Chenier as a member of the racing family, and also fortunate to have Speedy Auto Service as major advertising supporter of Luskville Dragway once again in 2026. When the wheels started spinning in the fall of 2020 to rebuild the track, Mike Chenier was a major player in making that happen, for that we will forever be grateful, and as Mike has said we "aint" done yet. And done yet he wasn't as he worked diligently to make the new safety wall come together, yes Mike has played a big part in the track. Speedy will once again carry the title rights to the Jr. Dragster class, a class that Mike has done so much for over the years. Everything from sponsoring the entire class to paying for all their buy backs and more. Speedy Auto Service is also the backer of a weekend in May (may 30-31) Spring Spectacular. Speedy will also carry the Super Tour Title Rights at Luskville Dragway for the Fall Bracket Nationals in Sept. Mike has also expanded his racing activities into the racer director of the Big Sled Drags that take in Cantley Que. twice a winter. Yes Mike is definitely and drag racing person to say the least. What is called Speedy Auto Service started out with a different name many years ago. Speedy Muffler King opened its' first store in 1956 and was one of the first muffler replacement specialists in North America. Championnat Speedy Auto Service Junior Dragster 2026 et bien plus encore : 19/01/2026 Mike Chenier, propriétaire de Speedy Auto Service, s'est imposé comme l'un des meilleurs pilotes Super Pro de Luskville Dragway, notamment grâce à sa participation à de nombreux championnats. Il a également joué un rôle déterminant dans de nombreux aspects de la vie à Luskville Dragway, et cela se poursuit cette saison. Depuis leur arrivée, l'équipe et la famille Chenier sont devenues incontournables lors des courses de chaque week-end à Luskville Dragway, bénéficiant presque toujours d'un public nombreux et enthousiaste. Luskville Dragway a la chance de compter Mike Chenier parmi ses membres et de pouvoir compter à nouveau sur Speedy Auto Service comme principal partenaire publicitaire en 2026. Dès l'automne 2020, lorsque les travaux de reconstruction de la piste ont commencé, Mike Chenier a joué un rôle déterminant. PIT BITS JAN 12/26 *We plan on doing a lot of talk about the past and Luskville Dragway in 2026 as we slowly creep up on its 60th anniversary (build in 1969) and some of the cars and people that have been part of the historic race track. Back in the good old days (early 70's) Luskville Dragway and NHRA Drag Racing was a big thing in the area, there was no Casino's, No NHL Hockey and NO CELL PHONES. And car manufactures and car dealerships where ALL involved with the sport and in most circumstances, Luskville Dragway. Dodge along with the Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Famer John Petrie would actually tour the country with drag cars putting on clinics about the sport and the performance cars that where available. These where the good old days, and for me was when I got involved with the sport, first as a spectator at the track and then a competitor in the street class. Back in those days there where local hero's as well, Larry Aslagsen, Rolly Doucet, George Petric, Dave "Gentle" Benn and others. It was the hay day of drag racing and it was great, but that has all changed, the sport has gotten very expensive, the younger generation is more interested in other things and there is SO MUCH more now to compete with for the entertainment dollar. That being said Luskville Dragway is alive and very well and unlike many tracks that have closed over the years the future looks very bright, in some ways thanks to the ground work that was laid down for the track. *Once again we announce the passing of one of the veterans of Luskville Dragway, Dick Stanton better known as "Trickie Dickie" left of us a week ago. Dick was a regular at Luskville Dragway for decades, and was someone who nobody ever had a bad thing to say about. Dick always had a smile on his face, and after racing a beer in his hand as he enjoyed the social side of things as much as the rest of us do. Over the years Dick drove a number of vehicles from a early model Camaro, to a s-10 truck to his last ride a black Chevy Cavalier. We know that the entire Luskville Dragway family sends our deepest condolences to Dicks wife Susie" and Daughter Allison. RIP "Trickie Dickie".
MORCEAUX DE FOSSE JAN 12/26 Nous prévoyons de beaucoup parler du passé et du Luskville Dragway en 2026, à l'approche de son 60e anniversaire (construit en 1969), et des voitures et personnalités qui ont marqué l'histoire de ce circuit. À l'époque (début des années 70), le Luskville Dragway et les courses de dragsters de la NHRA étaient très populaires dans la région. Il n'y avait ni casinos, ni hockey de la LNH, ni téléphones portables. Les constructeurs et concessionnaires automobiles étaient tous impliqués dans ce sport, et le plus souvent, dans le Luskville Dragway. Dodge, en collaboration avec John Petrie, membre du Temple de la renommée canadien des courses de dragsters, parcourait le pays avec ses voitures de dragsters, donnant des conférences sur le sport et les voitures de performance disponibles. C'était le bon vieux temps, et c'est à cette époque que j'ai commencé à m'intéresser à ce sport, d'abord comme spectateur sur la piste, puis comme compétiteur en catégorie « street ». À l'époque, il y avait aussi des héros locaux : Larry Aslagsen, Rolly Doucet, George Petric, Dave « Gentle » Benn et d'autres. C'était l'âge d'or du dragster, et c'était formidable. Mais tout cela a changé : ce sport est devenu très coûteux, la jeune génération s'intéresse à d'autres choses et la concurrence est bien plus rude aujourd'hui pour attirer les spectateurs. Cela dit, le Luskville Dragway est bel et bien là et, contrairement à de nombreux circuits qui ont fermé leurs portes au fil des ans, son avenir s'annonce prometteur, notamment grâce au travail de fond réalisé pour sa création. *C'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Dick Stanton, alias « Trickie Dickie », une figure emblématique du Luskville Dragway, survenu il y a une semaine. Dick était un habitué du Luskville Dragway depuis des décennies et personne n'a jamais eu à lui reprocher quoi que ce soit. Toujours souriant, il aimait partager un moment convivial après les courses, une bière à la main, comme nous tous. Au fil des ans, Dick a conduit de nombreux véhicules, d'une Camaro des premières années à un pick-up S-10, jusqu'à sa dernière voiture, une Chevrolet Cavalier noire. Toute la famille du Luskville Dragway présente ses plus sincères condoléances à son épouse Susie et à sa fille Allison. Repose en paix, « Trickie Dickie ».
MISTER TRANSMISSION NORTH BAY & SUDBURY RETURNS AS MAJOR ADVERTISER FOR 2026: JAN 12/26 We can not emphasize enough how humbled we are with the support we get from our advertisers and how lucky we are to have them. This weeks announcement is a perfect example of just that as Bill Harling the owner of Mister Transmission locations in Sudbury and North Bay has resigned for 2026. Bill and his Father Gord & Family have been a big part of Luskville Dragway and the Airport races for many years now, and have been some of the biggest supporters of what we do and for that we will be forever grateful. 2026 will see Bill and the North gang not only take all their parking spots/memberships, as well as their big grand stand billboard, but will also see them continue their support of the airport races we are doing. The Harling Family is a perfect example of the racing family, with 3 generations of them racing together at the same time. Much like my family who is also a 3 generational drag racing family, the Harling's spend their weekends together racing many weekends at Luskville Dragway or where ever we are putting on a race. Bill owns two shops these days which keeps him very busy with the original in Sudbury as well as the one in North Bay. All though a very experienced and successful racer Bill will quite often hand driving duties over to Sarah or someone else when ever called for. We will have more to tell about this involvement once the season gets under way but we can only say we are proud and fortunate to have Bill Harling, his Family and his business's involved with Luskville Dragway.
MISTER TRANSMISSION NORTH BAY & SUDBURY DE RETOUR COMME PRINCIPAL ANNONCEUR POUR 2026 : 12 JANVIER 2026 Nous sommes extrêmement reconnaissants du soutien que nous apportent nos annonceurs et nous nous sentons privilégiés de les compter parmi nous. L’annonce de cette semaine en est un parfait exemple : Bill Harling, propriétaire des succursales Mister Transmission de Sudbury et North Bay, a renouvelé son partenariat pour 2026. Bill, son père Gord et sa famille sont des figures importantes du Luskville Dragway et des courses de l’aéroport depuis de nombreuses années et comptent parmi nos plus grands soutiens. Nous leur en serons éternellement reconnaissants. En 2026, Bill et son équipe de North Bay conserveront leurs emplacements de stationnement, leurs abonnements et leur grand panneau publicitaire dans les tribunes, et continueront également à soutenir les courses de l’aéroport. La famille Harling est un parfait exemple de famille passionnée de course automobile, avec trois générations qui concourent ensemble. Tout comme ma famille, elle aussi passionnée de courses d'accélération depuis trois générations, les Harling passent leurs week-ends ensemble à courir, souvent à la piste de Luskville ou ailleurs où nous organisons des courses. Bill possède aujourd'hui deux ateliers, ce qui l'occupe beaucoup : l'ancien à Sudbury et celui de North Bay. Malgré son expérience et ses succès en course automobile, Bill laisse souvent Sarah ou quelqu'un d'autre prendre le volant lorsque c'est nécessaire. PIT BITS JAN 5/26 *We kick off the new year with more exciting news for the Prevost Performance Sled/Bike Series 2026, as Vermillion Machine Shop in Sudbury has also signed on as a presenter for the series. Pat Bolton a strong drag racing supporter is the owner of this shop and also happens to be a drag racer himself in the Semi Pro class. This additional sponsorship is helping us reach what is sure to be the largest points fund payout EVER for sleds and bikes. Vermilion Machine is a full service machine shop specializing in custom machining and design with CNC lathe and mill operations, welding capabilities as well as cylinder manufacturing + repair and CNC plasma table. A big Thank you goes out from all to Pat and Pam Bolton and their incredible support. *Some more good news stories to kick off the new year and this is a continuation of our story on the New Jr. for Cole Krottner which we wrote about in the fall of 2025. Cole is excited and proud to announce that KD Transmission will once again be the major sponsor on the new ride for Cole this season. The brand new half scale Jr. which in all likely hood will be Coles last season in a Jr. is a state of the art car which has a much bigger drivers compartment to  handle the young mans 6'2" size. Johnny Golka the owner of KD Transmission in Belleville Ontario is a staunch supporter of Luskville Dragway and many other racers as well. Cole who is in the middle of his draft season in Triple AAA hockey does not know where the future of his drag racing career stands, it will depend very much on whether or where he gets drafted in the OHL.
MORCEAUX DE FOSSE JAN 5/26 *Nous démarrons l'année en beauté avec une excellente nouvelle pour la série Prevost Performance motoneiges/motos 2026 : l'atelier Vermilion Machine Shop de Sudbury s'est joint à nous en tant que présentateur. Pat Bolton, fervent amateur de courses d'accélération, est le propriétaire de cet atelier et lui-même pilote en catégorie semi-professionnelle. Ce partenariat supplémentaire nous permet d'atteindre ce qui sera sans aucun doute la plus importante cagnotte jamais distribuée pour les motoneiges et les motos. Vermilion Machine est un atelier d'usinage complet spécialisé dans la conception et l'usinage sur mesure. Il propose des services de tournage et de fraisage CNC, de soudage, ainsi que la fabrication et la réparation de cylindres et la découpe plasma CNC. Un grand merci à Pat et Pam Bolton pour leur précieux soutien. *Voici d'autres bonnes nouvelles pour bien commencer l'année ! Nous poursuivons notre article sur la nouvelle voiture de Cole Krottner, paru à l'automne 2025. Cole est ravi et fier d'annoncer que KD Transmission sera de nouveau le principal commanditaire de sa nouvelle voiture cette saison. Cette toute nouvelle voiture à l'échelle 1/2, qui sera très probablement la dernière de Cole dans cette catégorie, est un modèle de pointe doté d'un habitacle beaucoup plus spacieux, adapté à la taille du jeune homme (1,88 m). AYLMER AUTO PERFORMANCE RETURNS AS TITLE RIGHTS HOLDER TO SEMI PRO IN 2026: JAN 5/26 Rai Pillwien the owner of Aylmer Auto Performance and Transmission has been super busy the past few years, and has had to take some time off drag racing his own car. But Rai has not taken anytime off supporting Luskville Dragway and the Semi Pro Class at the track. So with that being said we are pleased to announce that Rai will be  returning as a major advertiser again in 2026.  Yes for the 9th year in a row Aylmer Performance will be the title rights holder to the Semi Pro (footbrake) class at the track. So as we head into our sixth season on the new track, and many more improvements, we do it with great support for the semi pro cars again in 2026 thanks to Rai. Rai as many of you know bought the big farm just down the road from the track, and that has kept him very busy, and then to add to that he built a brand new shop at the farm as well, which could become the main building for his business one day. Aylmer Auto Performance does much more than performance work as its main stay is regular automotive repair, specializing in Transmissions and Performance. If you have ever had the pleasure of seeing any of Rai's immaculate Chevy Race Cars over the years you will understand. When we say this business man is methodical with everything he touches,  including his race cars or your ride. Since becoming involved with Luskville Dragway what seems like many years ago now, Aylmer Performance Automotive has gotten more involved with Performance Parts and supplies as well, and today can get you just about anything you need from a Helmet, too a safety Jacket to a set of tires.  We can not thank Aylmer Auto Performance enough for their support and urge all to support those that support our sport and our track. A number of semi pro racers pretty much call Aylmer Auto Performance home, as Rai does so much to assist all involved with our track.
JAN 05/06Rai Pillwien, propriétaire d'Aylmer Auto Performance and Transmission, a été extrêmement occupé ces dernières années et a dû s'éloigner un temps des courses de dragsters avec sa propre voiture. Cependant, il n'a jamais cessé de soutenir le Luskville Dragway et la catégorie Semi Pro. C'est donc avec grand plaisir que nous annonçons le retour de Rai en tant que sponsor majeur en 2026. En effet, pour la neuvième année consécutive, Aylmer Performance sera le sponsor principal de la catégorie Semi Pro (frein à pied) sur la piste. Alors que nous entamons notre sixième saison sur la nouvelle piste, et avec de nombreuses améliorations, nous bénéficions à nouveau du soutien indéfectible de Rai pour les voitures semi-pro en 2026. Comme beaucoup d'entre vous le savent, Rai a acheté la grande ferme située à proximité de la piste, ce qui l'occupe beaucoup. De plus, il y a construit un tout nouvel atelier, qui pourrait un jour devenir le bâtiment principal de son entreprise. Aylmer Auto Performance ne se contente pas de préparer les moteurs pour la performance ; son activité principale reste la réparation automobile courante, avec une spécialisation dans les transmissions et l'optimisation des performances.
